August 2026
Thursday
A day in Lahaina β€” Maui's most historic town, still recovering from the 2023 wildfire but very much open and worth visiting. Browse the Cannery Mall, walk the ocean restaurant row, swim at Baby Beach, eat at some of the island's most iconic spots, and finish the evening at the waterfront. About 25 minutes from the Westin Nanea.
⚠️
Lahaina Visitor Note (2026): Historic downtown Front Street remains closed β€” it's an active construction zone with orange bollards and no-entry signs. Open areas include the Lahaina Cannery Mall, Lahaina Gateway shopping center, and the oceanside restaurant row behind the Cannery Mall. Baby Beach Lahaina has also reopened. Please be respectful of the community still rebuilding.
