Know Before You Go
Helpful Tips🛬 Check-In
Standard check-in is 4:00 PM. Arriving from Kaua'i on Aug 9 — luggage storage is available. Self-parking is free (no resort fee means no parking fee either).
🏨 Room Preference
Requested high floor in Building 1 or Building 8 · 1st choice: Building 8 high floor · 2nd choice: Building 1 high floor
🛒 Grocery Run
Costco and Safeway are both in Kahului (~30 min). Worth a stop on arrival day — the full kitchen makes stocking up the most economical move for the week.
🌅 Sunsets
The Nanea faces west — you get front-row sunsets over Lana'i and Moloka'i every evening from your balcony or the pool bar. August sunsets are around 7:15 PM.
🐋 Whale Season
Humpback whale season peaks Dec–Apr, so August won't have whales — but spinner dolphins are common in Ka'anapali waters year-round.
🌊 Cliff Diving
Black Rock (Pu'u Keka'a), a short walk up the beach, hosts the famous cliff dive ceremony at sunset — a nightly tradition worth watching at least once.
🎫 Book Ahead
Book Molokini dive/snorkel tours, Mama's Fish House, and the helicopter well in advance — August is peak season and prime slots sell out weeks ahead.
